# On-Chain Deposits

> **Tokens sent to the wrong place are lost.** Sandbox deposit addresses are keyless, so no one can return them. Send only the route's source token. Send faucet CTK to your own wallet first, never straight to a deposit address.

Stablecoin routes work end to end in the sandbox. Send testnet tokens to a route's deposit address, and the sandbox pays the destination wallet on testnet. The transaction then shows up in your history.

## Supported pairs

| `ausd → ctk` | AUSD     | The same amount of CTK  |

Payouts are 1:1 and go to the route's destination wallet on the route's `to.chain`. See [Testnet Tokens](/api/sandbox/testnet-tokens) for token addresses and faucets.

## Timing

The sandbox checks for deposits every 15 seconds and pays without waiting for finality. A payout usually lands within a minute. A failed payout is retried every 60 seconds.

Each settled deposit appears in `GET /v0/transactions` as a `mint` (`ctk → ausd`) or `redeem` (`ausd → ctk`). It carries two legs: your deposit, and the payout with its `transactionHash`. The sandbox shows no pending state, so a deposit appears only once it pays out.

## Amounts

* Deposits under 0.01 are ignored.
* AUSD has 6 decimals and CTK has 18. CTK precision beyond 6 decimals is rounded down when it converts to AUSD.
